Another battle with the 'DRAGONS'...

After homeschool today we went to the library and then out to our favorite park again. So naturally you should all know by now what happens there, first Chris climbed up the big tree, but only a little way and I spared mom the anxiety and left the pictures out. But then we started into the Dragon games.

1. Apparently today they wanted to be better prepared so they stocked up on the swords (which are now in the back of the jeep in a bag...)!

2. Next you warm up because that might give you just enough edge to defeat them in battle. And of course you children will follow suit...

3. Then we all race down the hill to the ambush point.

4. I get distracted by the lovely scenery.

5. Then you hide behind a bench were your bait (the lovely maiden, aka mom) is seated to lure the dragon in. Then when the dragon takes the bait you jump out and charge to defend the poor helpless lass.

6. But alas fun and games always ends in tears...here is a list of the wounded in battle:

Roan- tripped in his excitement and skinned a knee but really tried hard to tough it out.

Ash- apparently his sword had a dirty little secret (a deadly 3 inch thorn) that got him in the hand which needed a medics attention.

It hurt a little but he was more upset because his own stupid sword crippled him rather than the dragon. So as you can see he suffers because he doesn't feel like a fallen hero but more like a 7 year old whose game just crapped out on him...

7. And of course there is always the long arduous journey home, Chris had to carry them half way because they were so exhausted and of course wounded!

Once again, we love our park...
