Poetry

We are studying Robert Frost in Poetry right now and today we read his poem "The Encounter" where he comes across a power pole in the middle of the woods. So Ash was to come up with a poem where he comes across something in an unusual place. After 30 seconds or so this is what he came up with, enjoy:

"The Desert Macaw"

I was in the desert,
Just about to starve,
When I saw: A Scarlet Macaw!
It said to me, "How-dee-dee!"
I said to it, "Why do you live here?"
It said, "I am bored of the Jungle";
And I wondered why!

"A Macaw belongs in the Jungle,
Why are you bored?" I asked.
And then it flew
Away, on silent wings.
