This is George Ella Lyon, she is an author and a very wonderful lady. She talked at the library a couple weeks ago to a group of kids about writing books using your feelings and experiences rather than just ideas. She read a couple of her books and showed us her journal that she keeps for her writing and Ash was truly inspired. We went and got a really cool book for him and a cool pencil and he puts down all his ideas along with illustrations and treasures he finds along the way. He has such a brilliant mind and sincere spirit, I am sure he will share many of his ideas in the written form. Mrs. Lyon and the ladies that work with her were amazed by the things he has accomplished and the ideas he has, they are excited to see what he ends up doing. They gave us great ideas and a lot of encouragement that will take him far.

We have been doing a lot of summer activities like swimming, biking and trying to teach the boys things like baseball. Some activities are more successful than others but all are fun.

The boys have really taken to the water, they used to be scared of it, especially Ash, but now they are fish.

Chris thinks his body is going down hill but he has been by far the most fit person including the life guards each time we have gone!

For those of you who have read the post that talked about the car the boys have affectionately named bluey that they are not aloud to touch or get near, well I finally got a picture of it the day the guy moved out. So this is our souvenir of Bluey (we just got back from swimming if your wondering why we so modest).

It has been an amazing summer so far we'll so what the rest brings!
